I am an Edinburgh-based dancer, choreographer, and creative director with over 15 years of professional experience. A graduate of Beijing Dance Academy, China’s premier dance institution, I specialise in both Chinese and contemporary dance. My career has been shaped by international performances and collaborations, bringing my work to diverse audiences around the world.

Since moving to Edinburgh in 2022 to pursue a PhD in Interdisciplinary Choreography at Edinburgh University, I have actively engaged with the local arts scene, collaborating with artists, organisations, and festivals such as Hidden Door Festival, Edinburgh Multicultural Festival, Pomegranates Festival, and the Fringe Festival. My recent multicultural dance theatre work, In the Round, premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer, receiving 4-star reviews from The Scotsman and All Edinburgh Theatre.

My artistic practice spans Chinese dance, contemporary dance, theatre arts, environmental dance, and screen dance. Having received formal training in China and now living in the UK, I embrace a cross-cultural approach to dance-making, exploring the aesthetic dialogue and nuanced movement between East and West. I draw inspiration from the synergy between diverse dance forms and cultural interpretations, believing that the body is a powerful medium to express both personal and cultural identities and to foster communication across communities.
